Coal City Homes was founded in March 2026. Like thousands of students and residents in Enugu State, our founder experienced first-hand the exhausting and difficult process of searching for accommodation. Spending weeks chasing leads, visiting properties that didn't match descriptions, and worst of all, falling victim to unverified individuals posing as legitimate agents.
The idea was straightforward: build a platform where anyone in Enugu can find verified properties and connect with trusted, and verified agents, without the stress.
What started as one student's personal frustration has grown into Enugu's most trusted property platform, serving hundreds of users and connecting them with agents across the state.

Paschal Chinedu Eze, widely known as Martin, is a Mass Communication graduate of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), a website developer and the visionary founder of Coal City Homes.
His journey into real estate was not planned, but lived. As a fresh student in his first year at ESUT, Paschal found himself caught in the all-too-familiar struggle of finding decent, affordable accommodation in Enugu.
Rather than accept this as the status quo, Paschal channelled that frustration into action.
And in March 2026, Coal City Homes was born. A platform designed not for profit first, but for the people.
